Behind the Scenes: Producing HEALTHTECH'17

It's hard to believe that Thursday marks the fourth annual Health Tech conference put on by The Westchester County Association. For the last four years, Team Harrison Edwards has served as the conference's executive producer, pulling together exciting panel discussions, powerful keynote addresses, and content that impacts the New York region's healthcare and biotech sectors.

HEALTHTECH'17 will display cutting-edge information for healthcare business leaders throughout Westchester county. Key topics to be addressed include the opioid crisis, Telehealth, healthcare policy, gigabit Internet access, and cancer care. The line-up of top-notch speakers includes executives from HANYS, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Shatterproof, US Ignite, WMCHealth, White Plains Hospital, New-York Presbyterian Hospital, the harris project, Pfizer, and Aetna.

As we speak, crews are setting up lighting and sound, checking the room is ready for hundreds of healthcare leaders, practitioners, administrators, and suppliers to gather for the half-day conference. Here's how we're preparing right now:

  • Team One is reviewing the agenda, scripts, PowerPoints, and other presentation materials. They're making last-minute tweaks to the program.

  • Team Two is setting up the Social Media Center where our team will be live Tweeting the event, managing Facebook and Instagram accounts, and working with the press.

  • Team Three is setting up a make-shift studio for video interviews that will be used on social media

  • Team Four is setting up name tags and making sure logistics are set.

  • Team Five is tweaking lighting, video walls, and sound.

Tomorrow promises to be one of the best HEALTHTECH conferences yet!
