A Brilliant Take on Net Neutrality From... Burger King

News trickled out this week that New York State would be seeking to reverse the FCC's vote earlier this year– along party lines– to repeal net neutrality rules. The bold move, backed by Governor Andrew Cuomo, and mirroring similar discussions in Congress, would forbid internet service providers from throttling content at a premium.

It's highly unusual for a big brand like Burger King to step into the political arena, but Fernando Machado, Burger King's global chief marketing officer told recode: "We believe the Internet should be like Burger King restaurants, a place that doesn't prioritize and welcomes everyone. That is why we created this experiment, to call attention to the potential effects of net neutrality."
