Lisa Buchman Named Vice President of Harrison Edwards


Carolyn Mandelker, CEO, Harrison Edwards Strategic Communications, announced today that Lisa Buchman has been named vice president of the company. For the past five years, Ms. Buchman served as an account director and digital marketer at Harrison Edwards, which specializes in economic development, broadband, healthcare, the arts, and B to B. The company has as regional and national practice, and garnered over 150 awards of excellence since it was founded in 1987. In her new role, Ms. Buchman will oversee some of the firm’s larger regional accounts, event planning, and perform certain operational duties.

“Lisa is certainly one of our stars,” said Mandelker, who added that Buchman’s “energy, drive, and huge competence continue to amaze.”

During the past 20 years, Buchman worked in public relations, fundraising for nonprofit organizations, and both real-world and virtual audience building. She developed special expertise in creating and tracking integrated digital campaigns across multiple channels while at Harrison Edwards. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, she was a digital media reporter for AOL/Huffington Post’s patch.com, and spent three years embedded in Westchester communities researching, writing, editing and producing Web-ready news stories and videos. She also served as communications director for the National Academy Foundation, a national nonprofit in New York City.

Lisa holds a B.A. in Communications from the University at Buffalo, and a M.A. in Higher Education Administration from New York University.
