Big NYC Child Welfare Merger: Rising Ground's Mucatel on Running $130M Org.
This summer, two of New York City's most-well known human services organizations––Rising Ground and Edwin Gould Services––announced a mega merger, responding to changes in the Big Apple's child welfare system.
"It's high-stakes work that occasionally brings intense scrutiny," notes Michael Fitzgerald in his recent piece in the Chronicle of Social Change.. Rising Ground has an annual budget of $130 million, employs nearly 2,000, and supports over 25,000 New Yorkers.
