Asthma? PVC? Decorate Safely for Xmas

For years, the question surrounding the holiday season holds true:: "Are you getting a real or artificial tree?" Some families prefer the convenience of artificial, while others go for the au natural experience of selecting the right tree--and those pesky falling pine needles.

RTK Environmental Group's Robert Weitz discussed with NY Metro Parents how consumers need to pick the tree that will work best for their lifestyle and overall health. Weitz notes that natural trees can trigger asthma and other respiratory ailments, while many artificial trees are manufactured in China and use a PVC-based compound that contains dangerous lead.

Check out the story here to find the best pathway forward for you and your family.

Have a safe and happy holiday season!
