Under the direction of our company’s CEO, the role of Business Manager is to manage the business, financial, and human resources activities of the company. The Business Manager performs a range of tasks to ensure company productivity and efficiency including implementing business strategies, evaluating company performances, and helping to drive employee engagement.

Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Management and Financial
Contribute to the overall business strategy of the company
Oversight of company’s financials, budgets, and projections
Oversee and process payroll
Manage relationship and coordinate activities with external accounting firm
Handle all accounts payable and accounts receivable
Manage vendor contracts and media outlets (e.g., insertion/time orders)
Human Resources and Talent Development
Create and maintain personnel files
Create and implement a talent development program
Assist leadership team in coaching talent, creating a collaborative and positive workplace environment and enhancing productivity
Client Support & Reporting
Assist with the enhancement of the client experience by creating standard operating procedures, streamlining processes by leverage technology, etc.
Client contract administration including management of monthly activity reports, invoicing
Staff expense reports and time sheets
Management reports as needed
Develop employee handbook and policies
Develop and implement employee benefits package including healthcare insurance and defined benefit plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience in business administration
Excellent verbal and written skills
Proficient in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and other cloud-based collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, Slack)
Proficient in QuickBooks (certification a plus)
Experience using third-party software tools and apps for business efficiencies
Strong leadership skills
Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to self-start
Superior organizational skills
Ability to analyze company procedures to make improvements
Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines
